Site update

If you look to the menu at the top on my site you’ll see a few new items, notably :

  • A new page dedicated to aerial photography (also here)
  • A new gallery under “portfolio” dedicated to aerial photography (also here)
  • A new page dedicated to interactive 360° aerial panoramic photography (also here)
  • A new newsletter sign-up page (also here)

I’ve had quite a few requests for information concerning the production of my 360° aerial panoramas, so I’ve also written a background paper on the subject:

360° Aerial Pano of Chaumont (La Dame)

I’ve posted a new 360° aerial pano from the Chaumont ridge, just to the east of “La Dame” in the Canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland (taken at about 1,200 metres altitude).

As with most of my other aerial panoramas, the image is a near-spherical photo composed of 23 overlapping photos, taken with a DJI drone. You can zoom and pan around the high-resolution image.

360° Aerial Panorama of La Chaux-de-Fonds (Gros Cret)

I’ve posted a new 360° aerial pano of the area to the north of La-Chaux-de-Fonds, on a ridge near the French border, at roughly 1,300 metres.

La Chaux-de-Fonds has had UNESCO World Heritage status since 2009.

The river of mist on the Doubs River was especially beautiful! Image shot on the morning of Friday, October 12, 2017.

As with most of my other aerial panoramas, the image is a near-spherical photo composed of 23 overlapping photos, taken with a DJI drone. You can zoom and pan around the high-resolution image.
